brew trust zeroagentdev/tap
brew install --cask zeroagentdev/tap/zeroagent
Homebrew 6 or newer needs that trust line before it will load the cask; older Homebrew can skip straight to installing.
Ubuntu 24.04 or newer, 64-bit. Zero Agent needs any one of Claude Code, Codex or Gemini set up.
curl -fsSL https://zeroagenthq.com/install.sh | sh
Then open ZeroAgent from your app menu. Run the same command to update.
Other Linux architectures are not available yet.
Windows 11, 64-bit. Requires Node.js, and Zero Agent needs any one of Claude Code, Codex or Gemini set up.
Download for WindowsWindows beta. It installs for your user only, so no administrator rights are needed, and updates install automatically.
This beta is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen shows an “unrecognized app” warning. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
To install, run the downloaded file and open ZeroAgent from the Start menu. To update, do nothing: ZeroAgent updates itself. To uninstall, use Settings, Apps, Installed apps.
By downloading, you agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy.
Prerequisite: ZeroAgent coordinates the work; it drives a coding agent CLI already installed on your computer to do it. Zero Agent, the main agent you talk to, runs on Claude, Codex or Gemini, so you need only one of them and no Claude account if you use Codex or Gemini: Claude Code signed in, Codex signed in with ChatGPT or an OpenAI key, or the Gemini CLI with a Gemini API key. You choose on first launch (ZeroAgent 0.22.0 or later) and can change it in Settings. Workers can use any of them and open models through OpenRouter, with their own accounts or keys.

This does the same install as the DMG above, and brew upgrade picks up new releases from there too.
